Whye Wah joined OCBC Bank (Hong Kong) Ltd, formerly known as OCBC Wing Hang Bank, in August 2021 as Chief Financial Officer. He is currently responsible for the Finance function in OCBC Bank (Hong Kong) Ltd and OCBC Bank (Hong Kong Branch). Whye Wah has over 25 years of experience in different roles within the financial industry. He joined OCBC Bank in July 2010, where he spent 4 years in Global Treasury and then 7 years as the Head of Balance Sheet Management of Group Corporate Treasury with OCBC Bank in Singapore.

Prior to joining OCBC Bank in 2010, Whye Wah worked at the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) for over 11 years. He was a senior member of the MAS foreign reserve management team and his last held position was Head of FX, Liquidity & Gold Division, Reserve Management Department. Before joining MAS, he was a fixed income analyst with DBS Asset Management.

Whye Wah holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Nyenrode University, Netherlands, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from National University of Singapore with majors in Economics and Statistics.

Whye Wah is appointed as Director in 9 subsidiaries of OCBC Bank (Hong Kong) Ltd and 4 subsidiaries of OCBC Bank (Hong Kong Branch). He is also a member of various management committees in Hong Kong, including Management Executive Committee, Management Committee, Asset & Liability Management Committee, Investment Strategy Committee, Technology Management Committee, Risk Management Working Committee, Operational Risk Management Committee, AML/ Reputational Risk Committee.
